About HUGO+TOAST

Working hard to bring together really smart doggies to humans in need❤️10% of profits from each sale will be donated to various service dog foundations.

Hugo + Toast was created for a beautiful purpose, however we don’t only exist to create awareness and help out. A huge area of our focus is in creating clothes you never want to take off. We have worked hard for two years before launching, to provide the best styles, fabrics and quality. From our silky soft bamboo attire to our warm and cozy cotton sweat suits, we have you covered.

Our goal as a company is to grow large enough to have the ability to support numerous foundations. We would love to be a part of connecting people in need with their best friend... their dog.

For our first year in business we have partnered with the CNIB Foundation. The CNIB is a Canadian foundation that specializes in training seeing eye dogs for the blind and visually impaired.

We have now moved onto to our second year of business and have partnered up the The Pacific Assistance Dog Society.

PADS is a Canadian foundation that breed, raise and train fully certified assistance dogs. They provide service (mobility & PTSD) and hearing dogs that provide life-changing independence to those with physical disabilities other than blindness.

Hygge Candles

About the Artisan

I have always loved burning candles around my house. Every room has at least one (or 3) candles and a diffuser! I chose soy blend candles after I started to pay attention to what was in the candles I was burning, and what I was breathing in. Many candles are made with synthetic paraffin wax which is unsustainable, and traditional candles contain lots of chemicals that produce toxins into the air. Soy wax candles are plant-based, last longer, and burn much cleaner compared to synthetic paraffin candles.

My love for candles inspired me to start making candles as a hobby during the pandemic. I could always see the “bigger picture” and was hopeful that I could make candles that mean something and share them with others! I wanted to make candles that are non-toxic and clean, so we can all enjoy burning candles with the peace of mind of knowing what is in the candles for myself, others, and our fur babies.

While I’m sitting and reading a book, or cleaning the house, lighting a candle just makes me so much more relaxed and happy in my home, which is exactly what Hygge means.

I have always preferred to support local artisans rather than a bigger company because I can feel the love and energy they pour into their products. That’s what I love about being an artisan; knowing how much work, effort and love I put into these products, and knowing that there are so many others out there who will appreciate and love them as much as I do!
